OpenCon 2017 Srinagar: Celebrating International Open Data Day

The main goal of OpenCon 2017 Srinagar: Celebrating Open Data Day is to make the university research and student community aware about the availability and benefits of Open Research Data. 

Since the community in India, particularly in Kashmir valley is less familiar with Open Data, the main thrust will be to familiarize the participants with the concept and importance of Open Data. The scholars, researchers and teaching community will be made aware about Open Data Lab projects available through open Knowledge Labs and open research repositories through re3data.org.

Experts will showcase the open data useful for the researchers in the select subject fields.
