As part of VT Open Data Week 2017 events, the University Libraries at Virginia Tech are hosting guest instructors from ContentMine, an organization that is developing open source tools for mining scholarly and research literature, primarily via open access sources. These tools support research on specific topics and exploratory data analysis.

Wednesday, April 12th for:

• An Introduction to ContentMine tools session - offered at 3 times: 9:00am, 11:00am (life science focus), and 4:00pm
• Lunch at 12:30pm (limit: 50 participants) - Register by 10:00am, Tuesday, 4/11
• A Text and Data Mining Forum discussion at 2:30pm with a multidisciplinary panel of experienced researchers. 

Thursday, April 13th for:

• An in-depth, hands-on workshop using ContentMine tools, 9am-4pm, lunch included (limit: 20 participants) - Register by 10:00am, Tuesday, 4/11
