Open Switch Africa is proud to announce that we would be hosting a series of Open Data events in Lagos Nigeria. The events would include a workshop for the use of Open Data tools for research and academic purposes. We are aiming to build a community of Open Access enthusiasts in the newly involved Lagos State University. This event will span two major universities in the city of Lagos, the Lagos State University (Epe campus) on 25th of April and the University of Lagos (Akoka) on 4th of July, 2017.

On the 4th of July, at the University of Lagos will host an Open Data event, where we will officially launch the first Open Data project created by members of the OpenCon Lagos community. The Lagos State University event is hosted in partnership with AECES (LASU) while the University of Lagos event is hosted in conjunction with the University of Lagos Science Students Association (ULSSA). Come and learn from Open Data experts and professionals.
