Details
As concerns over the potential for “predatory” publishers persists, academic librarians have often found themselves trying to fight against the use of binary lists to clearly determine which journal is good or bad when in reality the answer is often “it depends.” A new journal, Reviews: The Journal of Journal Reviews, tries to avoid such determinations while still helping researchers quickly assess a potential journal based on peer-reviewed evidence.
Join co-lead editors Matt Ruen and Teresa Schultz, both part of the founding board, to learn more about the journal, including how librarians can write an evidence-based review and receive peer review credit.
OpenCon Librarian Community Calls are limited to those working in libraries, and registration is now required. You can register for the September call here.
