  4. October 2021 Librarian Community Call

Will you come?

Details

A recent study indicated that scholarly communication librarians experience impostor phenomenon more frequently and intensely than academic librarians more generally. Impostor phenomenon also impacts early-career individuals more acutely than mid-career, so early-career scholcom librarians may face particular challenges. On our October 12th call, Professor Erin Owens (Scholarly Communications Librarian, Sam Houston State University) will summarize the key findings of her study and share ideas for individual and collective strategies to overcome impostor phenomenon, with a focus on early-career librarians working with all things “open.”
This call brings together all librarians working with, or learning about, all things Open--and gives folks an opportunity to connect with each other to better their work and librarianship.
