What is the Publish-Review-Curate model of scholarly communication, and how does it relate to the diamond OA movement?

Traditional scholarly publishing has many flaws. The diamond OA movement—which champions community-led publishing (at no cost to authors or readers), equity, and multilingualism—offers a potential solution to problems such as lack of researcher control, poor access, and inequity in traditional models. Yet, additional problems related to publishing speed and research rigor may not be fixed simply by adopting diamond OA.
