  4. June 2019 Librarian Community Call

Will you come?

Details

Good scholarship requires time to think, write, read, research, analyze, edit, organize, and resist the growing administrative and professional demands that disrupt these crucial processes of intellectual growth and personal freedom." For our June call, we'll be joined by Jamene Brooks-Kieffer, who will facilitate a discussion on the concept of slow scholarship. We'll do some listening, some thinking, some writing (using RiseUp to keep things as anonymous as possible), and some discussing.

Please try find time to read "For Slow Scholarship: A Feminist Politics of Resistance through Collective Action in the Neoliberal University" in preparation for the call (it's a good read!).

This call brings together all librarians working with, or learning about, all things Open--and gives folks an opportunity to connect with each other to better their work and librarianship.
