  4. July 2026 OpenCon Librarian Community Call

Details

The OA crossroads: where do we go from here?

Join us at the next OpenCon Librarian Community Call on Tuesday, July 14 at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT for an Etherpad discussion with Katie Funk (Associate Director, Collection Management, Becker Library, WashU Medicine) to examine the open access landscape beyond funder compliance, exploring what success should look like, who we need to reach, and how our messaging must adapt for different audiences. We'll also ask whether collective strategy is the missing ingredient for progress, and what the smallest meaningful commitment might look like to test that idea.

OpenCon Librarian Community Calls are open to those working in libraries and are not recorded.

You can register for the July call here.

Agenda and Notes

You can find all the proposed agendas and notes from the Librarian community calls in one place, right here.

Recordings

Community Calls are not recorded to support a safer environment for open and honest discussion. However, notes are taken.

What to expect

Community calls are always friendly, and we love new faces. The more you participate, the more you'll get out of it!
