Details
Publishing is often a “hidden curriculum” in graduate school — not explicitly taught but a learn-as-you-go venture that creates and compounds inequities, especially for first-generation students and those from traditionally underrepresented groups.
At the next OpenCon Librarian Community Call on July 8th at 12pm ET / 9am PT, hear from Martha Stuit (University of California, Santa Cruz), Jill Cirasella (CUNY Graduate Center), and Christie Hurrell (University of Calgary) on an array of approaches to teaching and supporting graduate student authors.
OpenCon Librarian Community Calls are limited to those working in libraries, and registration is now required. You can register for the July call here.
Agenda and Notes
You can find all the proposed agendas and notes from the Librarian community calls in one place, right here.
Recordings
Community Calls are not recorded to support a safer environment for open and honest discussion. However, notes are taken.
What to expect
Community calls are always friendly, and we love new faces. The more you participate, the more you'll get out of it! No doubt there will be a lot of this too.
