Details
A substantial (and increasing) number of journals and funders require researchers to share their data openly. Librarians are well positioned to help researchers navigate these requirements and make their data more understandable.
During the July 9th OpenCon Librarian Community Call, Wanda Marsolek, Shannon Farrell, and Melinda Kernik from the Data Repository at the University of Minnesota (DRUM) and curators with the Data Curation Network will discuss how librarians can help researchers select an appropriate repository for research data, provide resources for curating data for archiving, and share their hot takes on federal data sharing policies.
OpenCon Librarian Community Calls are limited to those working in libraries, and registration is now required. You can register for the July call here.
Agenda and Notes
You can find all the proposed agendas and notes from the Librarian community calls in one place, right here.
Recordings
Community Calls are not recorded to support a safer environment for open and honest discussion. However, notes are taken.
What to expect
Community calls are always friendly, and we love new faces. The more you participate, the more you'll get out of it! No doubt there will be a lot of this too.
