Details
In preparation for this year’s Open Access Week theme of “Community over Commercialization,” our next OpenCon Library Community Call will discuss the increasing commercialization of academic publishing and key talking points librarians can use in campus conversations related to this theme. Taking place on August 8th at 12pm ET / 9am PT, the call will feature Claudio Aspesi, SPARC’s market analyst, who will walk through relevant trends such as increasing profitability and consolidation. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and discuss what resources would be most helpful to support campus engagement with the 2023 theme.
